Richelle Shi, a high school junior from Illinois, studies piano with Dr. Sylvia Wang
at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. Among her accomplishments, she is a National YoungArts winner and a two-time MTNA National Finalist in piano performance. Additionally, she has been awarded at the Chicago, Los Angeles Liszt, Chopin at Hartford, Lancaster, and Orbetello international piano competitions. She is a first place winner at the Walgreens National Concerto Competition, Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra National Young Artists’ Competition, Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra National Young Artist, University City Symphony Orchestra National Young Artist, Lakeland Civic Orchestra National Young Artists Competition, and Ohio University's National High School Concerto Competition. Her passion for performing and an interest in helping her community led to the creation of SAPA to increase the accessibility of music education.
